Supporting campus food pantries does not just help students to eat a meal, it is part of a much larger picture that our country is facing; food insecurity. Food insecurity is defined by the US Department of Agriculture as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active & healthy lifestyle.

This crisis significantly affects college students across America and is a real issue many today have to face. We all know college kids are known for eating ramen noodles, and heck, we have all likely been there too! But this is something we now have the power and knowledge to change.

Food insecurity can end up affecting students' studies, relationships, habits, and routines while in school, and can even have lasting effects post-grad. The real reason these students are here is to learn, so let's help them to persevere through their studies without the worry of what they will eat for dinner.
